Music insiders are chattering about Beyoncé expecting her second child with husband Jay-Z. Multiple sources told us after the Met Gala last week that the singer, who is currently in the middle of a world tour, is pregnant. Bey wore a Givenchy gown with a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection, but pictures have emerged on blogs of what looks like a baby bump from recent tour dates.

Angelina Jolie reveals she had double mastectomy to prevent breast cancer

The 37 year old actress and mother of six wrote an article in the New York Times today May 14th revealing she underwent a double mastectomy earlier this year after a blood test showed she was genetically susceptible to cancer. Doctors told her she had an 87% risk of getting breast cancer. Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died at the age of 56 after battling with cancer for almost a decade.

Mastectomy is the medical term for the surgical removal of one or both breasts, partially or completely.

Angelina Jolie said she went through a series of medical procedures from February till April 2013 to have her breasts removed and then reconstructed. And she says Brad Pitt stood by her side every step of the way. Read Angelina's article NY Times article after the cut...

"Nollywood has abandoned me" - says ailing actor Peter Bunor

The ailing actor who has been suffering from stroke for a while now told Vanguard in tears that he has been abandoned by his colleagues in Nollywood. Bruno, who has relocated to Asaba, said:
"Since this thing happened there has been no single actor that called me to ask about my condition. It is a shame on their part. Would they say they don’t know that I am sick?’
‘I had a stroke and that was the end of it. I was unconscious, and if you are unconscious you are dead. It was when I opened my eyes that I realized that I was in a church here in Delta State. I didn’t even know when they brought me down to this place. All I could remember is that I was on admission for a long time before they took me to a church where God healed me.’

How long have you been married?
Klint: We thank God for the journey so far because we have been married for six happy years.

How did you meet?
Lilien: We met in Jos, where I used to reside.  Not like we planned to meet but it just happened. According to my husband, when he saw me, he told his friend, ‘That is my wife, I will marry that girl.’

Did you entertain any fears about dating and later marrying someone in the limelight?
Lilien: No profession is sacred. Even if you are marrying a doctor or a lawyer, the most important thing is knowing your partner and trusting God. For me, I was not scared at all because we were friends for a long while and that had gave me the opportunity to study him real good.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday said he cautioned some Peoples Democratic Party governors against arming the youth for the purpose of winning elections.
Atiku while speaking in an interview on the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation monitored in Kaduna on Saturday said his advice was not heeded.
He also said he would not leave the ruling PDP despite the unfair treatment meted to him.
Atiku said he would rather remain in the party and fight the injustice being perpetrated by the leadership of the party.

Gunmen kidnap Supreme Court Justice’s wife, daughter

Gunmen on Friday night, abducted the wife, daughter, and driver of a Supreme Court Justice, Bode Rhodes-Vivour.
The victims were travelling to Edo State, ahead of the Justice’s daughter’s wedding ceremony.
It was learnt that they were kidnapped between Ekiadolor and Okada along along the Ore-Benin Expressway.

'We live different lives': Kim Kardashian has revealed she and boyfriend Kanye West suffer a relationship clash over privacy Kim Kardashian has claimed that she and boyfriend Kanye West 'live different lives'.
The pregnant reality star has explained that while she is happy to live her life in front of the cameras, her boyfriend is much more private and this means they have different priorities.
Kim, who is expecting her first child in a matter of months, also said that being pregnant has made her hold back a little bit and she spoke of her worry about her own child growing up in the limelight.

 
 Speaking to Fabulous magazine she said: 'I'm definitely more of a recluse since I was pregnant. But I haven't necessarily decided to hold myself back, it's just preparing myself for respecting the privacy of my child and my boyfriend.'
Kim added: 'We live different lives, but I love being open. That's who I've always been. That will never change because that is who I am.'
But despite being so open Kim has conceded she is concerned about her unborn child and how to handle living in the limelight.

A 52 year old man identified as Adeolu Adeleke was crushed to death at Marina Car Park, Lagos Island, on Friday May 10th during heavy rain when a communication mast fell from a 2-storey building and crushed him to death.

The roadside trader met his untimely death as he went to protect his wares from heavy rain and winds. He'd dashed across the street to fetch something to cover his wares but the mast fell on him as he made his way back to his shade. See more photos after the cut. *viewer discretion advised*

Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi receives Christian leadership award

The actress turned evangelist yesterday May 11th received the "Ambassador of Religious Peace and Unity International Merit Award 2013" from the National Leadership of the Niger Delta Christian Network, Abuja. 

The honour was conferred on her by His Eminence, ArchBishop Ambrose Joseph Milner, of Yeshua Embassy of Churches Int'l Inc. Philadelphia, USA at Excellence Hotel in Ikeja.

On Tuesday April 30th, a 25 year old bricklayer named Akinloye Anuoluwapo slit his ex-girlfriend's throat, a 21year old girl named Rafiyat Akinyemi, then had sex with her as she bled to death in her father's house at Ogijo in Ogun state.

The girl had dumped him and that was too much for him to take. He went to her house armed with a knife and attacked her. Akinloye (pictured above) explains what led to the killing...
