Omotola, Donjazzy, named among 2013 Africa's 100 Most Influential People

Actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, music producer Don Jazzy, writer Chimanda Adichie and musicians P-Square have been named one of Africa's 100 Most Influential People in 2013 by the New African Magazine

Other Africans in the list include Ghanaian/US actor Idris Elba, Nigerian/UK actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sudan supermodel Alek Wek, South African comedian Trevo Noah, South African fashion mogul, Precious Moloi-Motsepe and Senegalese actor Omar Sy.

Allure Vanguard's 5th Edition Women On Wellness & Awards Gala Holds Today, Saturday November 23!

       

 

All is now set for the 5th edition of Women on Wellness (WOW) seminar which holds today Saturday November 23, 2013. This year's edition which holds at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, "is poised to bring on the WOW factor through a rediscovery expose, in an edition themed "Rediscovery".

The event, divided into two segments will begin with a seminar in the morning and Awards Gala in the evening. Expected to speak at this year’s event are seasoned professionals from the United States, the United Kingdom and Nigeria. They will educate guests and provide free consultations on issues that are relevant for today's woman and man during the Wellness seminar that kicks off by 9am.

Speakers include USA based Dr. Don O. Ogu who will speak on "Managing your Sleep: a necessity for optimal health, cognitive functioning and emotional health", Dr. Aham Onyike will speak on Othopaedic Wellness: the direability of health habits for improved conditions of the musculoskeletal system while Dr. Abayomi Ajayi of Nordica Fertility Centre, Lagos will speak on "Family Wellness: Inspiring new perspectives in Holistic healthy lifestyles for Family wellness".

Other speakers include Dr. Chukwuemeka Onyewu will speak on Reconstructive/Cosmetic Surgery: Exploiting Minimally Invasive Approaches in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Health and Wellness while Ms. Eryca Freemantle will speak on Reconstructive Make-up, Fitness and living Well".

Keynote address will be delivered by Chief Executive officer and Managing Director, Bank of Industry (BOI), Ms. Evelyn Oputu. Ms. Oputu will speak on "Opportunities to Financial Wellness: building financial capacity as a valued health model.”

Award winning, London based fashion designer, Adebayo Jones will add spice to the event when he speaks on "Image, Style and Fashion: minding the Gap".
