Ngozi Nwosu Off To UK For Treatments
Ailing Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu has now been flown to the United Kingdom for treatments. The actress, according to information gathered, jetted out of Nigeria last night aboard a British Airways flight.
The sultry actress will be treated in a UK hospital for both heart and kidney related diseases. She has been ill for months now until she left Nigeria around 11:45pm last night for treatment abroad.
In December 2012, Lagos State governor, Raji Fashola donated the sum of N4.5million for her treatment. She got N1million from 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' game show in 2012 also for her treatment.
An appeal call of N6million was raised for her last year to keep her alive.

Sources close to Yoruba actor, Damola Olatunji, have revealed to us that he is getting married to his lover in April. We were reliably told that Damola is madly in love with Raliat Abiodun Sobowale, who he is getting married to.

Rising hip hop act, Olaniyan Damilola, popular known as Damino Damoche, was shot dead this afternoon at Lagos State University Ojo gate by people suspected to be cultist.
Damoshe was shot twice in the head and hand after he finished writing a test at faculty of management science. He was a Banking and Finance student at LASU. He was popular for his song - obo to she.
Some reports say he was shot by rival cultist who were on a motorcycle popularly called okada.

Nollywood actress and president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Ibinabo Fiberesima on Sunday, February 24, 2013, led top Nollywood stars, Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke-Linus, Chidi Mokeme, Monalisa Chinda, Segun Arinze, London Kio and Tony Akposheri to pay a condolence visit to the late Justus Esiri’s widow, Omiette and her children at 14 Alhaji Azeez Street, Beesam, off Airport Road, Lagos residence of the Esiris to commiserate with the family on the death of the veteran actor.
The Nollywood delegate which also include the president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, Andy Amanechi, president of the Association of Movie Producers, Zik Zulu, AGN secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, AGN PRO, Frank Dallas and AGN Chief Whip, Mercy Salami, visited the family.
Sources said they all registered their condolences one after the other outside the premises. The Esiri children led by Sidney (Dr. Sid), Andrew and Otobore Esiri and other family members welcomed the celebrated thespians as the visited the household.
Esiri, the veteran actor an accomplished thespian, who trained in Germany, died on February 19, 2013 at the age of 70 but burial plans are yet to be announced by the family members.
UNILAG Students Damage Davido's Car At First Bank Show
The car of pop star, Davido, was reportedly damaged yesterday by some over-excited fans of the singer. The 'omo baba olowo' crooner was at the campus of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for a First Bank sponsored event, Youth Excel, when the incident happened.
According to Davido, who took to twitter to disclose this, "damn, they (UNILAG students) broke my car window at UNILAG. Still love my fans though. Bless you all. Amazing show."
Tthe event was held at the main auditorium of the school.
As the singer was making his way out of the school, some excited students reportedly besieged him by chasing his car, which resulted into one of his car's windows damaged in the process.

30 Year-Old Petroleum Engineer who went Missing in Lagos Found Dead in Ogun State
Akanbi Oluwatoyin, a former petroleum engineer with an oil company in Lekki, Lagos State who went missing about a week ago has been found dead.
Akanbi went missing on Monday 18th February 2013 with his car, a silver 2008 Highlander with plate no: SMK975AS. He was said to have left for his home at New Okoba, Agege for his office at Lekki on Lagos Island on the fateful day. Since then, his friends, family and the Police have been searching for him. Sadly, his corpse was found in Ifo yesterday by the police but his car was not found.
Punch reports that a relative of the deceased, who identified herself only as Ekineyo, said that Akanbi was found dead in Ifo, Ogun State.
So sad. May his soul Rest In Peace.
Micheal Ayoade Nigerian Man who Punched Two Random Ladies Unconscious is Jailed for 4 Years in the UK
A Nigerian man who carried out two unprovoked attacks on a teenage girl and a female student, leaving them unconscious on the ground, has been jailed for four years. He reportedly sneaked up on them and punched them unconscious in separate random attacks in London.
Mirorr UK reports that he carried out the assault on one of his victims last year, a 16-year-old girl who incredibly escaped with just three broken teeth after she was sent crashing to the ground.
The first attack was at Plaistow Tube station on November 20, 2011, when he hit a 21 year-old student Daniella Montieth, who is only 5ft 4in, in the side of the head, leaving her sprawled unconscious in the ticket hall. Montieth, who was studying political science and international relations, was taken to hospital with a broken tooth.
Both attacks were caught on CCTV.
During his trial, Ayoade said the teenager had “looked at him in a rude way” and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken “an insult from a little person like that”.

Daily Mail reports that the Judge who passed the sentence at an Inner London Crown Court, described the attacks as “vicious, unprovoked attacks on young, lone females.”
The court heard that Ayoade has two previous convictions for similar violence both from 2009 – one for common assault when he punched a woman after he spat on her shoes, and another when he hit a man who was speaking on a mobile phone.
He told the man: “I’m sorry, that wasn’t meant for you.”
Mirror UK further reports that he told police after the second attack that he had smoked three or four cannabis joints and drunk a cup of vodka before hitting the teenager.
He was sentenced for four years for the attack on the teenager, and 19 months for punching the student, to run concurrently.

The eloquent woman, Joke Silva revealed she would be building a movie studio in the school from scratch. Saddled with the responsibility of training people who love acting profession, she has since started work.
She said, “I would be building a movie studio from scratch and making it viable. Cardinal Keith O'brien, UK's most senior Roman Catholic cleric steps down amid claims of 'inappropriate behaviour'
Three priests and a former priest reported him to the Vatican over allegations of inappropriate behaviour stretching back 30 years. One of the priests alleged that the cardinal developed an inappropriate relationship with him, resulting in a need for long-term psychological counseling. Another one claimed O'Brien made an inappropriate approach after night prayers. The four demanded O'Brien's immediate resignation.O'Brien denied the allegations and had been expected to continue in his post as archbishop until mid-March, when he was due to retire at age 75 but he resigned today.
"I have valued the opportunity of serving the people of Scotland and overseas in various ways since becoming a priest," Cardinal O'Brien said in a statement. Late Justus Esiri to be buried in April
Late veteran actor, Justus Esiri, according to a representative of the family, will be buried in April. A spokesman of the late actor, George Esiri, was credited to have hinted that the former Village Headmaster actor will be buried in the third week of April.
The late Nollywood actor died on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. We gathered that a delegation has been sent to the late actor's hometown in Abraka, Delta State, to conclude on the burial arrangement.
"As soon as that is done, the family will release details of the programme for everyone to see," George reportedly said.
Students riot in Ebonyi State University
The students said they were protesting the insensitivity of the SUG president especially his silence over the 100% increase in school fees. The angry students believed he had been settled to keep quiet so he became their main target.
The police were later called in and they shot tear gas to disperse the students. Sanity has since returned to the school

The quartet of Nollywood goddesses; Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Funke Akindele and Kate Henshaw are set to start their own reality television show.
Few days ago, we posted a picture of the four actresses posing together. We can now confirm that the 'girls' are currently shooting the reality TV programme. The show is courtesy Mo Abudu.
We hear that the scenes for the reality show are being shot in Tinapa, Calabar, Cross River State.
The show will showcase the plight of women who have been domestically abused in the society.
