Actor Odunlade Adekola goes back to school
Former Glo ambassador and one of Yoruba film leading actors, Odunlade Adekola has gone back to school to acquire a degree. The actor is currently a 100 level student at the University of Lagos.
A source close to the actor said his decision to go back to school is as a result of many opportunities that he has lost over the years due to his lack of a university degree.

Obasanjo blasts Vanguard over daughter's open letter
Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has reacted in very strong terms over the 11-page letter purportedly written by his daughter Iyabo Obasanjo and exclusively published by Vanguard yesterday where he was described as a liar, manipulator and a woman beater.
A call was put through to the former president yesterday by the editors of Vanguard to hear his side of the allegations leveled against him by his daughter and the conversation went thus:
Vanguard: Sir, we tried reaching you all through yesterday, to no avail, over the letter written by your daughter, Iyabo, to you.
Chief Obasanjo: You are a bloody idiot, you have published the paper and you are now looking for me, you are an idiot, don’t call me again. When Iyabo finishes you in court…. (hangs up).

Commercial Bus Drivers and Conductors to wear Uniform next year
The Lagos state Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa while speaking at a stakeholders meeting in Lagos yesterday revealed that come 2014 the Lagos state government would be introducing the use of uniforms and badges for commercial bus drivers and conductors. ASUU finally calls off strike
The news filtered in yesterday but it wasn't confirmed. It's now been confirmed. After more than five months, the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) has officially called off its strike action starting from today December17th. They announced their decision at a press conference today
The strike was called off after a meeting in Minna, Niger State yesterday, days after ASUU signed a new agreement with the Federal Government. They have ordered lecturers to resume immediately. Congratulations, students!

Brazil 2014: FIFA World Cup Finals Draw
The 2014 FIFA World Cup draw took place in Brazil today and Nigeria will play against Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-something...lol. Nigeria's opening game will be against Iran and even though Bosnia looks like it will be an easy game for us, the country is ranked higher than Nigeria in the world. They are ranked 21st, while Nigeria is ranked 36th, but I'm sure we'll qualify alongside Messi's Argentina.

The pilot husband of Nollywood actress, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde, Captain Mathew Ekeinde recently opened an entertainment and tourist center in Badagry called “Aquatic Jungle Entertainment”. The center has planes as part of its tourist and entertainment attractions.
The center has facilities for recreation and entertainment ranging from modern zoo, indoor and outdoor aquarium, and a 5 star hotel that gives room for boat ride. The center has two airplanes and is expecting five more before the end of next year.
"Most times when our children visit airports, they only stand by the aircraft to take photographs but here, we give them the chance to go inside the aircraft to experience how an aircraft takes off and lands. It’s going to be a center for entertainment and learning” Captain Ekeinde said

South African Government has announced the death of Nelson Mandela. South African president Jacob Zuma announced that the former president and anti-apartheid revolutionary passed away peacefully in the company of his family in his home in Johannesburg around 8:50 this evening Dec. 5th. He was 95 years old.
His death marks the final chapter in a life that changed South Africa forever. What an Icon! May his soul rest in peace, amen.
