Jackie Appiah, Denies Affair With Bobby Obodo
The management of Ghanaian star actress, Jackie Appiah, whose marriage was dissolved some months back, has issued a press statement to readdress the issue of her relationship with the Nigerian actor and activist, Michael Bobby Obodo.
Before the statement was issued, Jackie has been spotted with Michael Bobby Obodo in different locations in Accra in the past weeks, this has generated a lot of speculations that they are dating each other, Jackie has vehemently denied this affair.
Jackie Appiah was spotted at D-Black’s album launch on December 16, 2012, at the Movenpick Hotel, after which the two had a private meeting at the hotel’s lounge over some drinks, on December 21, they were together at the Smirnoff Spotlight Shakedown, December 22, at the Aphrodisiac Nightclub and then on December 26, at the Night of 1015 Laughs and Music.
This is the statement from her management to counter whatever malicious stories in the social media about her, “I find it necessary to comment on recent scurrilous, slanderous and preposterous social media reports on Jackie Appiah’s alleged ‘marriage’ to Bobby Obodo.
First of all, let me state here that Jackie Appiah is absolutely not getting married to Bobby Obodo and the two of them are just good friends. I am appalled that the so-called reputable sites printing these vicious lies do not deem it fit to practice the simplest ethics of journalism like being accurate in their report and seeking reliable sources.
Which of you confirmed from Jackie’s management before going ahead to print? Jackie Appiah owes it to her fans and members of the public who have always supported her career, to set the record straight on issues like these, so without further ado, I wish to urge everyone to please disregard this misrepresentation of Jackie.”
Well, it always starts from being good friends to good lovers. Am I right or right? Good friend indeed!
