One meeting changed Rihanna’s life when, at the age of 15, she performed for Evan Rogers of Syndicated Rhythm Productions after school.
The singer was promptly whisked off to New York, signed to the production company and got a very exciting 17th birthday present in the form of a six album deal with Def Jam Recordings.
But even though she is now a superstar, Rihanna hasn’t forgotten the moment that changed everything for her.

And the 24-year-old showed she remembers her life before stardom as she shared a photo on her Twitter page from the day she sang for Evan.
Rihanna posted the fresh-faced photo page as part of the popular ‘throwback Thursday’ trend along with the words: ‘The day I met and sang for Evan Rogers of SRP after school, my life has never been the same.’
The snap sees her wearing a nervous smile as she sits on a sofa in her school uniform, with her dark hair pulled into a high ponytail.

Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was introduced to Evan by mutual friends in Barbados in 2003.
Shortly afterwards she went to his hotel room where she sang Mariah Carey’s Hero and Emotion by Samantha Sang.
After being signed to Syndicated Rhythm Productions and sending out demos, Rihanna was asked to audition for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid at Def Jam Recordings and signed her album deal with them that same day.
Rihanna appeared to be feeling nostalgic on Thursday as she shared a whole host of blast from the past photos with her fans.

Over the weekend the star, who recently reunited with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, attended a launch for her new perfume Nude at a Macy’s store in Century City.
