Singer Toni Braxton has been hospitalised in Los Angeles as a result of her Lupus disease.
The R&B performer confirmed the news on Twitter on Friday but assured fans that she is doing OK.
She tweeted: ‘Hey guys, I'm in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots.’
The 45-year-old added that she shouldn’t require treatment in hospital for much longer.
She wrote: ‘I will be home soon...Thanks for all the love&support!’
A spokeswoman for Braxton confirmed the hospitalisation but had no further details.
The Un-Break My Heart hit-maker revealed two years ago she has Lupus, a potentially deadly autoimmune disease.
Braxton’s brother also suffers from Lupus, and her uncle died from complications related to the illness.
She also suffers from a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart.
Braxton said in a recent 20/20 interview that doctors told her the Lupus diagnosis meant her performing career would likely be diminished and the disease helped push her into a recent bankruptcy.
Two months ago Braxton was accused of fraudulently wiring a significant sum of money to her estranged husband singer Keri Lewis, according to the trustee of her bankruptcy estate.
She originally filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and then again in 2010.
