Eva Longoria shows off her cross tattoo at Cannes Film Festival premiere of Le Passe

It wasn't even her premiere, but Eva Longoria made sure she made a big entrance on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Friday evening.

The former Desperate Housewives actress, 38, shimmered in a embroidered gold gown with long train and cut-out back as she arrived at the screening of new French film Le Passe - or The Past in English.

The brunette beauty also flashed her cross tattoo on her lower back thanks to the Zuhair Murad dress's daringly low cut-out section.

During her red carpet appearance, she kept her fans updated with movements on Twitter by posting photos of her experience.
She said: 'Walking down to the red carpet the Grand Palais at Cannes Film Festival! You like the dress??
'Signing autographs outside the Grand Palais!'

Keeping it simple: With such an intricate gown, Eva wisely kept her hair and make-up simple with eyeliner and her locks swept back into a ponytail

 Joining Eva was fellow L'Oreal model Doutzen Kroes in a sexy pink Atelier Versace dress, which revealed plenty of leg and cleavage.

Also at the screening was the star of the film herself, French actress Bérénice Bejo, famous for her Oscar-nominated performance in silent film The Artist.
The Argentine-born beauty teamed a blue jacket with a multi-tiered ruffled white Alexis Mabille Couture dress, with her brown hair swept back into a tight bun.
