Rita Dominic's Movie Premiers- The Meeting


A movie co-produced by Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic was  premiered  in Lagos.
The premier of the movie titled 'The Meeting' holds at Lagos Oriental Hotel and will be attended by not only the stellar cast but also the glitterati of Nigerian cinema, entertainment, fashion, leading business people as well as government officials.
The event kicks off with a red carpet by 5pm.
 The conference hall for the screening of the movie, transformed into a sophisticated and stylish theatre by Elizabeth R for all guests. The fruit and chocolate fountains proved a big hit among the guests even as they marveled at the large cut-outs of actors.
Following a star studded photo call, the host, Basorge Tariah Jnr which saw the introduction of special guests and dignitaries including Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, Alhaji Umar Sanni, Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Magnus Abe, Oronto Douglas, Alhaji Musa Bello, Florence Ita Giwa, Princess Abah Folawiyo, Erelu Dosunmu, as well as the cast, presidential speech by Diezani Alison-Madueke was delivered on behalf of His Excellency President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, welcome speeches by National President of the Association of Movie Producers and by Mildred Okwo.
With anticipation building up well into the evening, Chica Chukwu sang the National Anthem to start the event. Soon after, it was time for celebrated Nigerian songbirds Waje and Lami to serenade the audience. Waje looked radiant in a green dress as she belted out her most recent single “Oko Mi” while Lami had her rock chick glam on with an animal print peplum top and a pair of wet look leggings.
Soon after the opening credits rolled up on the big screen and the audience were captured for the next two hours and laughter, the audience particularly entertained by Rita Dominic’s feisty Clara Ikemba character and her antics.

The movie titled 'The Meeting', is a romantic comedy set in Abuja following the trials of a Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho who finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red tape and Cupid's arrow while in hot pursuit of a 'meeting' to secure a government contract. The Meeting is produced by A MORD Pictures production for Audrey Silva Company and directed by Mildred Okwo, also the co-producer with Rita Dominic.
With a stellar cast and a riveting storyline which cuts across all segments of the Nigerian society.


As the final credits rolled, it was time for the cast and crew to take a bow in front of the audience which boasted noted Nollywood stars such as Joke Silva, Funke Akindele, Chioma Akpotha, artists Tuface Idibia, Darey Art-Alade, eLDee the Don, Tiwa Savage, Weird MC, Omawumi as well as the co-chairman of The Audrey Silva Company Rita Dominic, delivered a vote of thanks and bid the attendants a safe journey home whilst remembering the victims of flood disasters in different parts of the country.
