Curfew imposed in Damaturu, Potiskum as JTF searches homes

The Yobe State capital, Damaturu, and Potiskum are on a lockdown as soldiers and policemen attached to the Joint Task Force began a search of homes for explosives, weapons and members of the extremist Boko Haram sect.
The state government had declared a curfew on both cities after Boko Haram gunmen carried out a number of attacks on security agents and civilians.
Yobe State Police Commissioner Patrick Egbuniwe said the curfew imposed on Saturday would be in place until JTF flushes out members of the sect.
